Senior Software Engineer ( JavaScript + GCP )

The Company is an AI-powered influencer marketing platform built for hospitality brands (hotels, restaurants, events, and experiences). It helps brands connect with creators, launch and manage collaborations, and drive awareness and bookings in a way that’s designed to be simple, affordable, and effective — without needing a large marketing team.

Product: Established Consumer & B2B Platform

Role Overview:

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help evolve and scale an existing consumer and B2B product. You’ll work across the full stack, improving and extending a production system that already serves real users and customers.

This is a hands-on role in a startup environment where pragmatism, code quality, and delivery all matter. You’ll collaborate closely with product and design, contribute to technical decisions, and use modern tooling — including AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code — to work efficiently and thoughtfully.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain front-end applications using React and TypeScript
• Develop and enhance backend services and REST APIs using JavaScript/TypeScript
• Work with and optimize data models and queries in MongoDB
• Contribute to the scalability, reliability, and maintainability of an existing production system
• Collaborate with product and design to deliver features for both consumer and B2B users
• Review code, improve engineering standards, and help guide technical direction
• Use AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Claude Code) as part of your day-to-day development workflow
• Support and mentor other engineers where appropriate

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong experience with React and modern front-end patterns
• Solid backend experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs
• High proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
• Experience working with MongoDB or similar NoSQL databases
• Experience deploying and operating systems on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Comfortable working on an existing codebase and improving it incrementally
• Prior experience with consumer-facing and/or B2B products
• Experience using modern developer tooling, including Claude Code or similar AI tools
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fully remote team
• Strong professional English communication skills

Working conditions:

Note: Client requires work-time overlap within their time zone (specified below).

Mon — Fri 9-5 (UK / London timezone) at least 4-6 hours of daily overlap with UK-based operations and management.
