Head of DevOps/Platform Engineering

We are looking for a Head of DevOps/Platform Engineering to join one of Asia’s largest banks.

Responsibilities

Build and evolve an Internal Developer Platform with self-service infrastructure and CI/CD
Drive end-to-end SDLC automation and reduce operational overhead
Lead and grow a DevOps/SRE team, promoting an automation-first culture
Integrate AI tools to improve development, incident management, and CI/CD
Design and maintain scalable, reliable CI/CD systems
Implement quality, security, and testing automation
Establish Infrastructure as Code and ensure consistency across environments
Own observability and drive reliability practices (SLO/SLI, incident management)
Improve performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
Collaborate with teams to enhance developer experience

Requirements

5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering, including team leadership experience
Proven experience building and scaling Internal Developer Platforms or similar self-service ecosystems
Strong hands-on expertise with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.)
Deep experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and cloud-native architectures
Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, containerization, and orchestration
Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi) and configuration management (Ansible, etc.)
Programming/scripting skills (Python, Go, or similar) for automation and tooling
Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK stack)
Good understanding of reliability engineering principles (SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, incident management)
Hands-on experience implementing DevSecOps practices (SAST/DAST, secrets management, compliance automation)
Experience working with distributed systems and high-load environments
Proven ability to improve SDLC metrics (lead time, deployment frequency, MTTR)
Experience integrating AI tools (Copilot, Claude, Cursor, etc.) into engineering workflows is a strong plus
Strong communication skills and ability to influence engineering culture and best practices
