FullStack Node.js Developer

We are looking for FullStack Node.js Developer.

About project:

A fast growing, AI-powered recruitment technology company with offices in Germany, Poland, Austria and Switzerland is expanding its engineering team.

The company builds modern SaaS products that combine machine learning, automation and user-friendly interfaces to deliver faster and more accurate hiring solutions.

 In this role, you will own the development and maintenance of critical backend services and APIs, optimize performance across distributed systems and ensure seamless integration with third-party tools and internal services. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams including DevOps, product, frontend and architecture to deliver high-quality, production-ready code that drives our core business.

Requirements:

Must Have:
• 3+ years of backend development experience using Node.js, NestJS, and TypeScript
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (especially PostgreSQL)
• Hands-on experience integrating external APIs and third-party services
• Proficiency with observability and monitoring tools (OTel, Grafana, Azure Monitor)
• Solid experience with Azure cloud infrastructure (Functions, Container Apps), CI/CD workflows (GitHub Actions), and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
Nice to Have:
• Experience with microservices architecture and event-driven systems
• Understanding of durable functions and workflow orchestration
• Broader experience with the Azure ecosystem
• Working knowledge of frontend frameworks like React, and state management libraries such as Redux or Zustand (to support full-stack collaboration)
• Familiarity with type-safe backend-to-frontend communication using TypeScript

Will be a plus:

  • Experience with AWS.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable REST and GraphQL APIs using Node.js and NestJS
• Build efficient, well-structured database schemas and optimize SQL queries (PostgreSQL)
• Integrate third-party services such as payment systems, analytics tools, and authentication providers
• Configure and manage observability tools: OpenTelemetry (OTel), Grafana, Azure Monitor
• Deploy services using Azure cloud tools (Azure Functions, Azure Container Apps)
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and containerization using Docker and Kubernetes
• Conduct code reviews, contribute to architecture decisions, and uphold backend development best practices
• Monitor production environments, troubleshoot incidents, and support performance tuning
• Collaborate with team leads and mentor junior developers to ensure continuous growth and improvement
