Senior Software Engineer (Power BI)

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Power BI dashboard development and data visualization.
  • Strong knowledge of Power Query, DAX, and Power BI Service, including role-based access and export features.
  • Proven ability to integrate data from Clarizen and SharePoint, and present metrics such as demand status, KPIs, and cycle times.
  • Experience designing user-friendly, secure dashboards for cross-functional teams, with document linking and drill-through functionality.
  • Familiarity with process tracking dashboards (e.g., intake lifecycle, backlog analysis, phase/stage metrics).

Nice to Have

  • Experience with demand intake, GBS/PMO processes, or project portfolio reporting.
  • Exposure to ERP, CRM, or FinTech/Healthcare environments.
  • Knowledge of automating manual reporting workflows or working in regulated industries.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver scalable Power BI dashboards for demand and intake management.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and cross-functional teams to understand reporting needs.
  • Build interactive reports with drill-through functionality, XLS export, and secure document access (e.g., Business Case, BCD).
  • Translate business requirements into visual KPIs, phase/status indicators, and process insights.
  • Present and explain dashboard logic, metrics, and data structure to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Analyze and validate data sources (Clarizen, SharePoint) for accuracy and completeness.
  • Apply data storytelling techniques to improve transparency and decision-making.
  • Work within an Agile/Kanban environment to deliver iterative enhancements.
  • Promote best practices in data visualization, security, and Power BI governance.
