We are looking for Senior Python Engineer.
About the Project
Join a Pharma industry initiative building a platform where AI agents work directly with enterprise data — turning business questions into SQL queries, surfacing insights, and delivering answers through an agentic interface. This project sits at the intersection of data engineering and AI engineering: you’ll build the infrastructure that lets agents talk to Snowflake in natural language, as part of a real production platform rather than a prototype or demo.
Responsibilities
- Build scalable backend services and APIs in Python
- Work with Snowflake — from SQL optimization to integrating Cortex Analyst and Text-to-SQL solutions
- Develop agentic AI functionality using LangChain or similar frameworks: agent skills, tools, and API integrations
- Do prompt engineering to improve agent accuracy and reliability
- Implement quality and cost monitoring through MLflow and DeepEval
- Optimize performance and manage cost across the platform
Requirements
Must have:
- 4+ years of experience in Python backend / data platform engineering
- Strong expertise in Snowflake and SQL
- Hands-on agentic AI development experience (LangChain or similar)
- Experience with prompt engineering
- DataOps / Data Platform engineering background
- Solid understanding of building and maintaining production APIs and backend services
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with Semantic Layer or Knowledge Graph concepts
- RAG or broader agentic AI implementation experience
- AWS experience
- Pharma commercial experience
