QA Transformation Lead / QA Consultant

Remote with quarterly business trips to Cambodia
About the Role
We are looking for a senior QA leader to support a large-scale quality transformation initiative.
The primary goal of this role is to assess the current QA organization (approximately 70 QA professionals), evaluate existing processes and testing practices, identify improvement opportunities, and help establish a scalable and efficient quality assurance framework.
This is a strategic and consulting-oriented role rather than a hands-on testing position.
Responsibilities
- Conduct a comprehensive audit of the existing QA organization, processes, and testing practices.
- Assess current test strategy, test planning, and quality governance approaches.
- Evaluate test coverage, testing effectiveness, and process maturity.
- Analyze collaboration models across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Define recommendations for QA process optimization and organizational improvements.
- Support the implementation of quality standards and best practices.
- Partner with client leadership to drive QA transformation initiatives.
- Coordinate activities across multiple teams and workstreams.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance.
- Proven experience as QA Lead, Test Manager, Head of QA, QA Consultant, or similar leadership role.
- Hands-on experience conducting QA audits, process reviews, or quality assessments.
- Strong understanding of Test Strategy and Test Planning.
- Experience coordinating multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Solid knowledge of System Testing and Integration Testing.
- Experience working within enterprise-scale environments.
- Experience in banking, fintech, or other regulated industries.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to travel to Cambodia on a quarterly basis.
Nice to Have
- Experience with QA transformation programs.
- Experience building or scaling QA Centers of Excellence.
- Experience working within SAFe or large enterprise delivery organizations.
- ISTQB Test Manager or similar certifications.
