Mission
Establish Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) as a common language connecting Business, Architecture, Delivery, and Testing functions, while making it practical and scalable for everyday squad execution.
Primary Responsibilities
- Define and implement a testing strategy aligned with the client’s quality standards and BDD principles.
- Coach delivery teams, Business Owners, and Product Owners on BDD practices.
- Drive the adoption of Definition of Ready (DoR) and Definition of Done (DoD), including supporting methodologies and tooling.
- Improve the quality of acceptance criteria and overall story readiness.
- Align business requirements, scenarios, acceptance criteria, and tests.
- Define an evidence model to support Earn/Burn reporting and delivery measurement.
How the Role Operates
- Work across all squads in a horizontal leadership capacity.
- Review readiness prior to sprint planning.
- Facilitate BDD workshops, coaching sessions, and clinics.
- Partner closely with Architecture and Test Leads.
- Develop reusable patterns, examples, and best practices.
Success Measures
- Increased BDD adoption across squads.
- Improved story readiness and planning quality.
- Reduced ambiguity in requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Improved acceptance quality and testing effectiveness.
- Accurate and reliable Earn/Burn measurement.
